What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for onsite equipment and systems throughout the Netherlands & Belgium
• Prepare maintenance interventions and act as a contact person for contractors from the office at the IJmuiden
• Support daily operations, including commissioning, startups, shutdowns, and performance optimization as well as lead complex troubleshooting activities, perform root cause analyses, and document technical solutions
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and improve preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance strategies
• Analyze operational and performance data to improve efficiency, reliability, and equipment lifecycle
• Provide technical support for capital projects, equipment upgrades, and system modifications in compliance with standards whilst ensuring all onsite systems meet health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and risk assessments

What Makes You Great

• MBO + or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or relevant discipline) or equivalent technical qualifications.
• 5+ years of experience in onsite systems maintenance, reliability, and technical support, preferably in industrial environments like petrochemical, manufacturing, or oil and gas sectors
• Expertise in on-site equipment such as pumps, compressors, pipelines, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation, control systems and other stationary assets
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis techniques. Familiarity with maintenance strategies like Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Condition Monitoring
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, HSE standards)
• Proficiency with CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar
• Understanding of operational controls and process optimization in industrial environments
