Job description

For a leading company in the superyacht industry, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer specialised in Cable Trays.

In this role, you will work on high-end and highly complex superyacht projects, taking responsibility for the design, routing and technical development of cable tray solutions on board. You will ensure that cable trays, panels, equipment and related electrical infrastructure are optimally integrated within the vessel, taking into account space constraints, accessibility, installation sequence and coordination with other disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:

✅ Designing and developing cable tray routing solutions for superyacht projects

✅ Preparing and maintaining cable tray layouts and panel plans

✅ Managing equipment lists and related system/component documentation

✅ Coordinating with disciplines such as electrical engineering, outfitting, structure and production

✅ Reviewing drawings, design documentation and technical data

✅ Identifying and resolving routing conflicts in complex vessel environments

✅ Supporting design reviews, model checks and interdisciplinary engineering meetings

✅ Providing practical technical solutions for cable tray routing, panel arrangement and equipment integration

✅ Supporting and mentoring junior engineers/designers where needed

What we are looking for:

🔹 A technical degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field

🔹 Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine engineering, electrical outfitting or superyacht engineering

🔹 Specific experience with cable tray routing and panel planning

🔹 Strong understanding of space constraints, installation sequence and multidisciplinary coordination on board vessels

🔹 Experience with equipment lists, panel plans and engineering documentation

🔹 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Cadmatic and Teamcenter

🔹 Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, marine design practices and class requirements

🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

🔹 Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams

🔹 Fluent English, both written and spoken

What you can expect:

💰 Salary between €4,000 and €5,800 gross per month

🌴 40 vacation days per year based on full-time employment

💸 8% holiday allowance + a guaranteed 2.75% supplement until 2027

📈 Annual profit-sharing scheme, subject to company results
