Job Description About the role As a Senior Structural Designer within our Engineering Department you contribute to the creation of innovative, high-quality designs by preparing accurate 3D models and 2D construction drawings of offshore structures such as wind turbine installation vessels. You collaborate closely with engineers, fellow designers, and project managers to ensure that structural designs are technically sound, traceable, and meet internal standards and customer requirements. Critical to your success is your proficiency in CAD tools, attention to detail, and ability to translate engineering requirements into practical, constructible designs.
In this position, you will play a key role in implementing 3D CAD design using Cadmatic within the GustoMSC design process, a cting as an administrator and technical point of contact while contributing to improved design quality and execution efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Participate in project teams by developing 3D models and 2D construction drawings of ship and offshore structures.
- Independently execute assigned design scope and manage related interfaces.
- Ensure alignment with engineering input and project requirements.
- Maintain communication with involved engineers, designers and project manager.
- Act as the Cadmatic administrator for design projects, ensuring proper system configuration, project setup, and user support.
- Coach and support other Designers by providing technical guidance in Cadmatic and reviewing the work of peers.
- Contribute to improving design quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Secondary vocational education (Dutch MBO) in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Typically 15+ years of experience developing 3D models and 2D construction drawings of ships or offshore structures.
- Proficiency with Cadmatic and AutoCAD or similar 3D and 2D CAD software.
- Ability to independently execute complex design scopes for offshore structures.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of offshore rules, regulations and standards.
- Proactive, analytical and positive attitude, as well as outstanding collaboration skills.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
