The Role

We are looking for a Travel Curator to join our Human in the Loop team. You will work alongside Layla's AI to craft detailed, deeply personalized trips for our travelers — reviewing and refining itineraries, curating standout experiences, and managing the fine details that make a journey seamless from the first flight to the last night's stay.

This is a role for someone who has done serious travelling themselves and believes travel planning is a craft. You'll be the human judgment behind every recommendation: the person who knows the rooftop bar isn't worth it on a windy day, that the connection time in New York is too tight, and that the family of five will need a very different Rome than the honeymooning couple.

What You'll Do

• Curate end-to-end trip itineraries for Layla travelers, refining AI-generated plans into polished, personalized journeys
• Provide concierge-style support: handle tricky bookings, special requests, and last-minute changes with calm and precision
• Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, restaurants, and experiences — including hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path finds
• Review every detail of a trip for accuracy, feasibility, and flow: timings, transfers, opening hours, seasonality, and logistics
• Communicate with travelers in a warm, professional, and reassuring voice
• Collaborate with our product and AI teams, feeding your expertise back into the product to make Layla smarter with every trip

What We're Looking For

• Extensive first-hand travel experience. You've navigated the logistics yourself: booked the multi-leg journeys, missed the connections, rerouted mid-trip, and figured out the visa runs, the train transfers, and the neighborhoods worth staying in. You don't just research destinations, you've lived them
• Proven experience in travel planning, travel consulting, tour operations, luxury concierge services, or a similar role
• Deep destination knowledge and a genuine passion for travel — you plan trips for fun, not just for work
• Exceptional attention to detail; you catch the too-tight connection and the closed-on-Mondays museum before anyone else does
• Strong written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• A service mindset: proactive, resourceful, and unflappable when plans change at the last minute
• Comfort working with modern tools and an interest in AI — you'll be working hand-in-hand with our technology every day
• Self-motivated and reliable in a fully remote setting
