Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Associate to join our esteemed Disputes group in Singapore. This role presents an unparalleled opportunity to work within a white-collar crime defense practice and engage with complex, cutting-edge legal challenges on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist on a diverse portfolio of US regulatory issues, including anti-corruption and bribery, AML, sanctions, as well as internal and government investigations.

  • Provide strategic legal advice to our esteemed clientele, ensuring their needs are addressed with the utmost professionalism and efficiency.

  • Draft, review, and manage the filing of legal documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

  • Represent clients effectively in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, striving for outcomes that align with their best interests.

  • Work collaboratively with partners and peers within the practice to foster a cohesive and innovative team environment.

  • Contribute to the mentoring and professional development of junior associates, nurturing the next generation of legal talent.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current legal practices and developments, and actively participate in knowledge sharing within the firm.

  • 1 - 4 years' post-qualification experience in US regulatory issues and investigations matters, preferably with a reputable law firm.

  • US qualification.

  • A robust academic record in law, demonstrating a commitment to legal excellence.

  • A proven ability to navigate and resolve complex legal issues with a strategic and analytical approach.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Resilience under pressure, with a proven track record of managing tight deadlines and delivering results.

  • A collaborative mindset, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and the collective success of the practice.
