Job description
-
You will develop, implement, and maintain quantitative financial risk models and reporting tools, utilizing Python to translate complex statistical concepts into robust code
-
You will execute rigorous validation processes (including sensitivity analysis, benchmarking, and stress testing) to continuously evaluate, challenge, and enhance model accuracy and performance

You will take ownership of daily financial risk monitoring processes, systematically analyzing risk exposures, assessing compliance with internal limit frameworks, and generating reliable daily reports for senior management

You will ensure all reporting tools and financial risk models remain strictly aligned with key regulatory frameworks (e.g., KWG, CRR, MaRisk, EBA guidelines)

You will actively contribute to critical regulatory assessments, including ICAAP and ILAAP, and support the design, execution, and quantitative analysis of comprehensive stress testing scenarios

You will continuously evaluate and optimize existing risk data pipelines and reporting scripts to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial risk quantification methodologies and risk monitoring frameworks

You will provide mentorship and technical guidance to interns, fostering a culture of continuous development

You have completed a degree, preferably with a focus on mathematics, statistics or quantitative finance

Several years of experience in a comparable role in the financial services industry

You are highly proficient in financial modelling using Excel or Google Sheets

You have hands-on experience using Python (including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or SciPy) and/or R for data analysis and implementation of statistical models

You possess a strong aptitude for risk-oriented analysis and enjoy breaking down complex, quantitative topics into clear, actionable insights

You are reliable, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and analytical skills

You work well in time-sensitive environments and know how to balance competing priorities

You have concise verbal and written communication skills in English; German language skills are advantageous
