About you and this role

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Global Commodity Risk Management & Business Development (CRM) team in Horgen ZH, Switzerland. This highly visible role sits at the intersection of business development, corporate strategy, market intelligence, and commercial decision-making.
The team under Feedstocks & Commodities requires a deep understanding of these commodities and their markets in order to monitor and mitigate the impact of price volatility.
As a trusted advisor to our Feedstocks & Commodities organization, you will identify and evaluate growth opportunities, develop strategic insights from global commodity and energy markets, and support business decisions that influence Dow's competitive position. You will work closely with commercial leaders, trading teams, corporate treasury, investor relations, strategic planning, and external stakeholders to translate market intelligence into actionable business strategies.

The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative modelling experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and brings experience in commodities, energy, trading, feedstocks, petrochemicals or related industries. They are intellectually curious, commercially minded, and enjoy translating complex data into strategic business insights. Exposure to commercial negotiations, partnership development, risk management, financial markets, or deal structuring would be advantageous.
Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic business development opportunities aligned with the company’s strategy, including new projects and partnerships.

Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analyses as well as scenario planning to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.

Perform periodic news, data queries and macro-economic search for market research and fundamentals analysis.

Collaborate across Commodity Risk Fundamentals team to develop tools and analyses to be leveraged by the business in strategic decision making.

Facilitating the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, leadership team meetings, and the management of the annual priorities.
Qualifications
-
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

Experience developing complex financial models and conducting commercial, strategic, or investment evaluations.

Advanced analytical capabilities and a track record of converting complex market data into actionable business recommendations.

Professional proficiency in English and Arabic.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 30%).

Professional financial market certificates such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification are a plus.
