Lead Consultant (SAP BTP)

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Architect with a minimum of 10+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 4–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and implementing solutions leveraging SAP BTP’s integration, extension, and development capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on BTP while enabling organizations to maximize the value of their SAP landscape. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to translate business requirements into innovative BTP solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and strategic goals.

The role involves leading solution architecture and technical design discussions, conducting workshops and discovery sessions with clients, and defining end-to-end solution architectures leveraging BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build, and the SAP Extension Suite. You will design and implement integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), API Management, and event-driven architecture using Event Mesh. The position also requires hands-on expertise in developing and extending applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP – Node.js/Java), SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, and SAP Build Apps within the Cloud Foundry environment. Experience in automation solutions such as SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) and strong understanding of BTP services, security, authentication, and governance models are essential.

As a BTP Architect, you will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in solution design, performance optimization, and cloud-native development using microservices architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and seamless integration of BTP solutions across enterprise systems. In addition, the role involves contributing to pre-sales and business development activities such as responding to RFPs, performing solutioning and estimations, conducting client presentations and demos, and supporting proposal development. Staying current with the latest SAP BTP innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies will be key to recommending modern and future-ready solutions for clients.

What will you do:

• Mandatory Fiori UI5/SAP CAP/ Build Process Automation (BPA) on BTP.

• Build Process Automation, Build Apps, CAPM(node.js)

• Experience in RFP responses, solutioning, presentations, estimations and solution architect.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and challenges, and design innovative solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform.

• Lead and participate in workshops, discovery sessions, and design discussions to architect end-to-end BTP solutions that align with clients' strategic goals.

• Design and implement integrations between various SAP and non-SAP systems using BTP Integration Suite, API Management, and Cloud Platform Integration.

• Develop and extend applications using SAP BTP's development tools and services, including SAP Cloud Foundry environment, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, and SAP Workflow, Extension Suite, Integrations Suite, SAP Build.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement security and authentication mechanisms for BTP applications and services.

• Customize and extend SAP BTP services to meet unique business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

• Stay current with the latest advancements in SAP BTP, cloud technologies, and industry trends, recommending solutions that drive innovation.

• Strong expertise in BTP extension suite, Event mesh, Cloud application programming, RAP model.

• Good understanding of BTP services.

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, track progress, and manage deliverables according to project timelines.

• Assist in pre-sales activities, including solution demos, proposal development, and client presentations.

The Ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) implementation, configuration, and development.

• Total of 10+ years of experience in IT consulting, software development, or related fields.

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing integrations using BTP Integration Suite and API Management.

• Strong expertise in BTP extension suite, Event mesh, Cloud application programming, RAP model.

• Good understanding of BTP services.

• Proficiency in developing applications using SAP Cloud Foundry environment, SAPUI5, and SAP Fiori, Extension Suite, Integrations Suite, SAP Build.

• Experience with SAP Workflow and Business Process Management (BPM) is a plus.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native application development concepts and microservices architecture.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and team collaboration.

• SAP BTP certifications are desirable.

• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
