Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, technology, data analytics, marketing, operations, and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results.

Job Responsibilities

·       Lead architecture and technology transformation engagements for banking and payments clients, translating business needs into scalable solution designs.

·       Assess client current-state architecture and define target-state architecture aligned to business objectives, technology standards, and payment ecosystem requirements.

·       Design and integrate payment systems, card management systems, core banking platforms, SaaS products, and client ecosystem components.

·       Own end-to-end solution design across mobile, digital, infrastructure, hosting, data, security, and integration layers.

·       Partner with senior client technology stakeholders, including CTOs and CDOs, to shape, validate, and influence solution direction.

·       Lead requirement analysis workshops, define functional specifications, and secure stakeholder alignment on solution scope, design, and implementation approach.

·       Develop and present compelling technology solution proposals, architecture recommendations, and implementation roadmaps to client leadership.

·       Ensure proposed solutions are robust, secure, efficient, compliant with standards, and practical for delivery within client environments.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams across consulting, product, engineering, data, security, and delivery to drive successful solution outcomes.

·       Apply structured problem-solving and analytical thinking to assess technology options, identify risks, and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.

·       Support Agile and Waterfall delivery teams by providing architecture guidance, design governance, and solution clarification throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Communicate complex technology concepts clearly through well-structured presentations, documentation, and executive-facing discussions.

·       Work effectively with diverse internal and client teams across markets, functions, and seniority levels.

What you will need:  

• Overall 12+ years of experience in leading architectural and large-scale technology transformation solutions in Banking and payment domain.

• Bachelor’s degree specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. 

• Proficiency in Card Management Systems / Core Banking and payments domain is a key requirement. 

• Hands-on technical expertise in designing the to be state architecture from client’s as-is-state based on business needs and requirements, payment systems integration, data management, security infrastructure ensuring efficient, and robust payment solutions will be an added advantage.

• Should have expertise in End-to-end Mobile stacks, development approaches (Native, cross-platform, Hybrid etc.) , Infra and hosting platforms

• Have experience in working with senior tech executives e.g., CTOs and CDOs in a bank.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to develop well-structured communications and deliver presentations to audiences.

• Strong analytical skills, ability to have structured thinking and build strong arguments.

• Collaborative team player with ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong experience designing and pitching complex Tech solutions to the leading clients across the industry.

• Have experience in integrating SaaS based products and solutions to the client ecosystem.

• Lead requirement analysis, design functional specifications, and get agreement from various stakeholders on the solution and design while complying with existing standards.

• Work in software development methodologies, e.g., Agile and Waterfall projects.

What will also help:

• Solid experience in enterprise application integration including APIs, Web Services (SOAP/RESTful), Micro Services, Containerization (Open Shift Containers, Kubernetes etc.)

• Deep Understanding of the web technology stack & Supporting Technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, React, Angular, Polymer, ASP.NET, C#  etc.) and service deployment.

• Basic knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud).

• Experience on Data platform infra (Redshift, Snowflake, MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, Bigdata Hadoop etc.) and architecture and concepts like DWH, Data lake, cleanrooms, Data as a product etc.

• Hold comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard security protocols such as Open ID Connect, OAuth2, SAML, JWT JOSE, JWKS, emphasizing their application in secure and reliable payment processing.

• Training and certification in relevant Cloud, DevOps and Middleware technologies will be a big plus.

• Ability to learn quickly and draw meaningful conclusions from independent research.
