We're currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading international engineering contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects in Finsterwalde, Germany.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering activities on a major construction project, coordinating technical design with onsite installation through to commissioning and successful project handover.

Working alongside the Project Manager and multidisciplinary project teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review electrical designs and identify design gaps or technical issues
• Validate cable sizing and provide technical recommendations
• Prepare and manage electrical technical submittals
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders
• Monitor procurement and equipment delivery
• Support coordination between the design, BIM and construction teams
• Carry out electrical system walk-downs and support commissioning activities
• Prepare test packs, O&M manuals and project documentation
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement within the engineering team

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 7 years' project engineering experience, ideally within a construction environment
• Experience delivering Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical or Data Centre projects
• Experience with both LV and MV electrical systems
• Knowledge of current electrical design standards, regulations and codes of practice
• Experience preparing technical submittals, technical reviews and assessments
• Experience working with clients, vendors and contractors
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities
