Here we launch revolutionary products on a massive scale, using extraordinary speed, innovation and efficiency. Our employees ensure that we achieve our goals, and we welcome you to help us write the next chapter of our success story.

The Training team’s mission is to empower the best talent with world-class training. We are a diverse group of driven professionals, who work independently yet always have each other’s backs. Every opinion matters and together we always work efficiently to find the best solution. We have proven that we work at Tesla speed and deliver high quality. Being part of this team is a unique opportunity to help shape a training concept of unparalleled magnitude from the very beginning.

Your role will be in the automation engineering sector, focusing on PLCs and related equipment such as robots. You will work closely with both automation and robotics trainers to develop, maintain, and conduct training programmes in automation, including PLC programming and commissioning for maintenance technicians and control engineers. To ensure training aligns with industry demands, you will stay closely connected with the production maintenance and controls teams.

This role offers you a unique opportunity to accompany a recent and quickly developing training organisation and to contribute your own ideas. Continuous improvement, an open mindset and a proactive - as well as a mutually supportive - work style complete your profile.

What You'll Do* As a brand ambassador and role model, you are committed to Tesla’s mission, our Training team’s goals, and our customers

  • You will develop and deliver PLC training at various levels, covering programming and commissioning (Siemens, Beckhoff) and related technologies such as safety devices (Euchner, Sick), HMIs, drives, and robotics
  • You will incorporate existing standards into your training programmes effectively
  • Knowledge sharing: You actively share expertise, insights, and ideas with colleagues to help solve challenges more efficiently
  • You will collaborate closely with technical departments and production teams to ensure your training content remains up to date and has a meaningful impact

What You'll Bring* Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, plus years of experience as a Controls Technician or Controls Engineer

  • PLC Expertise: Strong proficiency in Siemens or Beckhoff PLCs, with several years in a related role
  • Drives & Motion Control: Solid knowledge of drives (SEW, Siemens, Beckhoff)
  • Technical Skills: Experience with HMIs (e.g., WinCC Unified), Fieldbus technology (e.g., Profinet), and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Industry Standards: Experience with at least one automotive standard
  • Languages & Additional Skills: Fluency in German and English (C1/B2), familiarity with SCADA systems, an AEVO trainer certificate, and basic experience with Fanuc or KUKA robots is a bonus
  • Continuous Growth: Eager to develop skills, improve department-related topics, and expand knowledge

What we offer

You will be working in our state-of-the-art Gigafactory where you’ll solve the world's most interesting problems with the best and brightest people who share a passion to change the world. Tesla’s compensation package includes competitive salary and Tesla shares or bonuses. Typical benefits that are offered are a pension program, 30 vacation days, employee insurance, free EV charging stations and public commuting support.
