Land Surveyor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, civil engineering principles, and proficiency in various surveying software and tools.

Duties

• Conduct land surveys using traditional and modern surveying equipment, including GPS and 3D scanners.
• Prepare accurate schematics and maps for property boundaries, topography, and construction projects.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for drafting and data analysis.
• Perform ALTA surveys to determine property boundaries and easements.
• Collaborate with civil engineers and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met.
• Collect data in the field and analyze it to produce detailed reports.
• Apply mathematical principles including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and other relevant calculations in surveying tasks.
• Maintain compliance with all local regulations and standards related to land surveying.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of civil engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) as well as GIS applications (ArcGIS).
• Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and Trimble equipment is a plus.
• Strong mathematical skills including knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and drafting techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for data collection and interpretation.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
