Full Stack App Developer

Happy Pet brings the Happy Dog and Happy Cat brands to pet owners across the Gulf and Southeast Asia. From our Dubai base we run direct-to-consumer stores and marketplace channels across the UAE, Indonesia, and Thailand, with more markets on the way. We are building a small, high-ownership digital team where each person runs their own area end to end rather than sitting inside a large hierarchy. About the role

This role owns the Happy Pet App, taking over day-to-day development and improvements as we bring this work in-house. You'll manage the app's backlog, ship updates, and make sure the app keeps improving for our customers.

What you'll do

• Own the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of the Happy Pet App.
• Manage the transition of app development in-house, working closely with the current external developer during handover.
• Prioritize and ship a steady stream of fixes and improvements based on user feedback and business needs.
• Work with the Automation & AI Enablement Specialist to use AI tools for faster content and feature updates.
• Keep the app stable, secure, and running smoothly.

What we're looking for

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a mobile or full-stack app developer.
• Comfortable taking ownership of an existing app and its codebase.
• Able to work independently and manage a backlog with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Practical mindset, focused on shipping steady improvements rather than large rebuilds.

Nice to have

• Experience with Flutter specifically.
• Experience taking over or maintaining an app built by an external agency.
