Ground Segment System Engineer (IV&V)

YOUR MISSION

• Contribute to the engineering, integration, verification and validation of complex satellite Ground Segment systems for next-generation Earth Observation missions.
• Support the definition, analysis and maintenance of system and ground segment requirements, ensuring end-to-end traceability.
• Contribute to system architecture, interface definition and Ground Segment design activities.
• Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE ) activities and maintain engineering models.
• Prepare, execute and document Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop test specifications, test procedures, verification reports and support system verification campaigns.
• Participate in technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, IVVR and Operational Readiness Reviews.
• Support anomaly investigation, configuration management and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & TALENTS

• Proven experience in Ground Segment System Engineering within the space industry.
• Experience throughout the complete System Engineering lifecycle .
• Strong experience in Requirements Engineering and requirements management using IBM DOORS or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities.
• Experience with Ground Segment integration , testing and verification campaigns.
• Knowledge of ECSS engineering standards and engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Experience with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system/interface engineering.
• Experience with Configuration Management and requirements traceability.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Enterprise Architect is considered an asset.
• Experience with Linux and scripting (Python/Bash) is an advantage.
• Previous experience in Earth Observation , Copernicus , ESA or EUMETSAT programmes is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
