Key responsibilities

Our ABB frequency converters and power converters are a crucial element in many plants in the process industry, renewable energy, and mechanical engineering with a capacity of up to 100MW. As a communicative personality, combine your technical skills with an interest in service for our ABB drive technology. We rely on your sensitivity in dealing with customers, for whom you are the first point of contact. Does this sound like an exciting task for you?

You will be mainly accountable for:

Identifying errors and malfunctions and initiating countermeasures

Performing commissioning and maintenance

Executing and monitoring agreed services of service orders and conducting root cause analysis in warranty cases

Participating in modernization projects

Being on call for emergency services

You will join a motivated team, where you will be able to grow.

Qualifications for the role

Vocational technical training in electrical engineering/mechatronics or technician training in electronics

Initial professional experience, but we also welcome newcomers

Knowledge in drive technology

Confident appearance towards customers and high customer orientation

Personally, you are characterized by a methodical approach and problem-solving skills

Fluent in German and good English skills, both written and spoken

High willingness to travel, mainly within southern/central Germany – temporarily also worldwide
