[Uni – Jan till Jun 2027] Software Engineer/ Business Analyst Intern

You will be involved in an IT project supporting the maintenance and enhancement of IT systems. Depending on your interests and strengths, you will contribute to either Node.js development or Business Analysis, including translating user requirements into test scenarios and system testing. You will also support day-to-day application maintenance, incident resolution, and enhancement requests while gaining exposure to cybersecurity processes, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and working in a highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do:

The intern will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications while gaining hands-on experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Depending on the assigned role, responsibilities may include:

• Developing and enhancing application features using Node.js.

• Analysing user requirements and preparing functional specifications.

• Creating test scenarios and supporting system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Troubleshooting application issues and assisting with incident resolution.

• Supporting the implementation of application enhancements and bug fixes.

• Preparing technical, functional, and testing documentation.

• Participating in project discussions, sprint activities, and team meetings.

• Assisting with application deployments and post-deployment support.

• Collaborating with project managers, developers, business analysts, testers, and end users to deliver quality solutions.

Throughout the internship, the intern will gain practical exposure to software development, application support, agile delivery practices, and enterprise application management within a highly regulated environment.

• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Keen interest in software development, business analysis, and application support.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand user requirements.

• Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and business processes.

• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and attention to detail.

• Able to manage tasks independently and meet project deadlines.
