About the Roles

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join a design & built gas system organization in a site-based role located in Tampines. This permanent position offers a structured 5-day work schedule (Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm; Friday, 8am to 5pm), along with a competitive salary package comprising basic salary, meal and transport allowance, and performance bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop Project Quality Control Plans (QCPs) by establishing inspection stages, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria for piping projects.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation to verify alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Manage quality control processes throughout material procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Inspect piping materials and components through visual and dimensional checks to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities such as RT, UT, PT, and MT.
• Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic testing to confirm piping system integrity and leak-tightness.
• Carry out incoming material inspections, verify certificates, and ensure appropriate storage, handling, and preservation practices.
• Assess welding procedures, welder qualifications, and completed weld joints, including radiographic examinations, to maintain weld quality.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and prepare quality reports detailing findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to resolve quality concerns and provide technical support.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to address quality issues, ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, API 570, and other relevant standards, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of Welding Inspection standards, including AWS and/or CSWIP certification, is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality auditing principles or Auditor certification would be an advantage.
• Experience in base-build piping fabrication, hook-up module fabrication, structural and piping weld inspections, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Hands-on experience with piping line walks and reinstatement inspections, with the ability to accurately interpret isometric drawings.

• Local Polytechnic Diploma (Preferred)
