Cyber Security Analyst

we are looking for an entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst to support our broader security program, including risk assessment, security tooling, and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking
• Support implementation and maintenance of security controls
• Help conduct security awareness activities and phishing simulations
• Monitor for compliance with security policies and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Assist in incident response documentation and post-incident reviews
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization
• Collaborate with IT teams to apply security patches and configuration hardening
• Contribute to security documentation, reports, and audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Foundational knowledge of security principles (CIA triad, defense-in-depth)
• Basic scripting ability (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) a plus
• Understanding of common frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:

• Security+, or equivalent certification
• Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
• Participation in CTFs, security clubs, or personal security projects
