Role Description The Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer will lead the design and analysis of civil and structural elements for building and infrastructure projects in Al Khobar. This full-time, on-site role involves preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. The engineer will coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs, resolve technical issues, and support project delivery schedules. Daily responsibilities include overseeing junior engineers and designers, checking CAD and AutoCAD outputs, participating in design reviews, and providing guidance on construction methods and materials. The role also requires active involvement in quality assurance processes, risk assessments, and value engineering to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering, including the ability to design and verify structural systems for various project types.
• Candidates should possess solid Civil Engineering skills, with knowledge of construction materials, methods, codes, and infrastructure design principles.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and AutoCAD for developing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed engineering drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Several years of relevant experience in structural design within consultancy or construction environments, preferably at senior or lead engineer level.
• Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards, and experience in applying them to practical design solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide junior team members and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration (e.g., PE or equivalent) is an advantage.
