Senior Civil Estimator - ECI

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Civil Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Tendering teams by developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for building projects. Your expertise will contribute directly to successful project acquisition, commercial decision-making, and the delivery of high-quality tender submissions.

What You'll Drive

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender pricing for building construction projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents to identify project scope and cost risks.

• Develop comprehensive project budgets and cost plans using Candy (CCS) Estimating Software.

• Support ECI projects by providing cost advice during concept, design development, and pre-construction stages.

• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and evaluate commercial compliance.

• Develop value engineering proposals and identify cost optimization opportunities.

• Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities during the estimating process.

• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Planning, and Construction teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

• Maintain cost databases, benchmark rates, and productivity norms.

• Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions.

• Present estimate reviews and recommendations to management during tender adjudication processes.

• Monitor market trends, material prices, and subcontractor capabilities to improve estimating accuracy.

You're a Great Fit If You Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience within the construction industry.

• Proven experience in building construction projects including commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and high-rise developments.

• Advanced proficiency in Candy (CCS) Estimating Software.

• Strong experience in ECI, pre-construction, and tendering activities.

• Sound understanding of construction methodologies, quantity surveying principles, and cost management practices.

• Previous experience working with Tier 1 contractors is highly preferred.

• Middle East experience is preferred.

• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and estimating software platforms.
