Senior AWS Cloud Architect – VMware to AWS Migration (m/f/d)

We're looking for an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of a large-scale VMware-to-AWS migration for a complex enterprise environment.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable AWS architectures, including Landing Zones, networking, security, and multi-account environments.

• Lead VMware-to-AWS migrations using AWS MGN and AWS Transform.

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Define migration strategies for complex workloads, including Foundation Services, EOL systems, PCI-regulated workloads, and DMZ-hosted applications.

• Lead the migration of Citrix and F5 environments to AWS, evaluating AWS-native alternatives where appropriate.

• Collaborate with Security, Network, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to deliver secure, GDPR- and PCI-compliant cloud solutions.

• Provide technical leadership throughout architecture, migration planning, and implementation.

• Extensive experience as an AWS Cloud.

• Proven success delivering enterprise VMware-to-AWS migration projects.

• Hands-on experience with AWS MGN, AWS Transform, and Terraform.

• Strong expertise in AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Security Groups, Network ACLs).

• Experience with AWS Landing Zone, Control Tower, and multi-account environments.

• Solid understanding of PCI-DSS and GDPR.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is highly desirable.

• Professional proficiency in German (minimum C1) is required.
