Job Summary:

Responsible for island-wide delivery and collection of chemical and general goods within the supply chain network. Duties include safe and efficient transportation, strict adherence to road safety and regulatory requirements, proper handling of materials, vehicle upkeep, basic stock checks & commination, and simple administrative tasks. The role ensures timely deliveries while maintaining accurate operational records and supporting overall logistics efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 4 vehicles for island-wide delivery and collection of chemical and general cargo according to assigned schedules.

• Comply with all road safety and hazardous materials regulations; ensure proper handling, securing, and segregation of goods during loading and unloading.

• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.

• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and basic administrative records.

• Coordinate with supervisors, warehouse, and customers to ensure smooth and timely delivery operations; report incidents, near misses, or delays promptly.

• Support daily logistics operations and carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class 4 driving licence with a clean driving record.

• Experience in delivery or logistics operations; hazardous materials handling is an advantage.

• Knowledge of road safety and basic transport compliance requirements.

• Physically fit for loading and unloading activities.

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for documentation handling.

• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently with good communication skills.
