Job Summary
El Patio Engineering Consultancy L.L.C. is looking for an experienced Tender & Estimation Engineer to join our team specializing in Infrastructure and Landscape Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and submitting competitive technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements for infrastructure and landscape projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing for roads, utilities, drainage, irrigation, hardscape, and softscape works.
- Analyze project scope and identify commercial and technical risks.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial tender submissions within specified deadlines.
- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate project costing.
- Perform value engineering and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project requirements.
- Maintain an updated database of material costs, labor rates, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare tender clarifications, post-tender negotiations, and contract documentation.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with client specifications and company procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and estimation for Infrastructure and Landscape Projects in the UAE.
- Strong experience in estimating roads, utilities, drainage, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, and external works.
- Excellent knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender documentation.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards, authority requirements, and contract documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and estimation software.
- Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender submission deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government and private sector infrastructure and landscape tenders in the UAE.
- Knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
