Why This Role Matters
The Procurement Engineer – MEP (Mechanical) plays a critical role in ensuring the timely procurement of Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting materials and equipment required for successful project delivery. By leveraging technical expertise, market knowledge, and strong supplier relationships, the role contributes to cost optimization, quality assurance, and project schedule adherence across large-scale construction projects.
What You'll Drive

Manage the procurement of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting materials, equipment, and subcontract packages.

Lead RFQ/RFP preparation, supplier engagement, and techno-commercial evaluations.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local UAE suppliers and manufacturers.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial terms to achieve best value for projects.

Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Commercial, QA/QC, and Site teams to ensure procurement activities align with project requirements.

Monitor procurement schedules and proactively manage long-lead and critical items.

Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative sourcing solutions.

Ensure compliance with BESIX procurement procedures, governance, and quality standards.
You're a Great Fit If You Have
-
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
-
5–8 years of experience in MEP procurement within an MEP Contractor or Main Contractor MEP Division.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
-
Proven experience procuring chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ducting, piping, firefighting equipment, valves, and related MEP materials.

Strong network of local UAE suppliers and manufacturers.

Experience preparing RFQs, tender evaluations, procurement recommendations, and award documentation.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Experience working on high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submittals.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, IFS, or similar.

Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
