We are not looking for a typical software developer.
We are looking for a highly capable debugging engineer who can understand complex systems, identify root causes quickly, and resolve issues across multiple layers. Secure VMI is a multi-layer platform spanning Android system components, backend services, Kubernetes infrastructure, and cloud and on-prem deployments.
Your primary responsibility is to take unclear problems and turn them into clear root causes and working fixes.
Key Responsibilities
- Debug issues end-to-end across multiple layers, including:
- Android system services
- Backend services and APIs
- Kubernetes, infrastructure, and networking
- Take full ownership of problems:
- From initial issue → reproduction → root cause → fix
- Analyze logs, traces, and system behavior to identify failures quickly and accurately
- Improve system debuggability by:
- Designing structured logging
- Enhancing observability, tracing, and diagnostics
- Debug security-related issues involving:
- Secure boot, identity, encryption, and system trust mechanisms
- Work across different domains without handoffs when needed
- Support customer-facing discussions when required:
- Clearly explain technical issues, root causes, and resolutions
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in at least one of:
- Java, Golang or C++
- Excellent debugging skills (must be able to demonstrate real cases)
- Strong experience with:
- Linux systems
- Log analysis, crash debugging, and troubleshooting
- Ability to move across different technical areas quickly
- Independent and structured problem-solving approach
Preferred Skills
- Experience with:
- Android system-level debugging
- Distributed systems and multi-service environments
- Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure
- Security mindset:
- Understanding of system trust, isolation, and threat surfaces
- Experience debugging:
- Complex, intermittent, or non-reproducible issues
- Performance bottlenecks and race conditions
