QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).

Ensure compliance with TAQA Distribution requirements, project specifications, and approved procedures.

Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.

Conduct internal quality audits and monitor corrective actions.

Quality Control

Perform inspections of civil, electrical, and utility works as per approved ITPs.

Verify that all materials used on-site are approved and comply with project specifications.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards.

Coordinate inspections with TAQA Distribution representatives and consultants.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, material approval records, and test reports.

Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) logs and ensure timely closure of NCRs.

Prepare quality progress reports and submit them to project management.

Ensure proper documentation for project handover and close-out.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant QA/QC certifications or training.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Familiarity with TAQA Distribution standards and specifications is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC for utility, power distribution, or infrastructure projects.

Experience in electrical distribution networks, substations, cable laying, and service connections.

Experience coordinating inspections with utility authorities and consultants.

Skills

Strong knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.

Good understanding of electrical construction and testing practices.

Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and quality management documentation.
