Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities of a Company Electrician (Project Site Assignments)1. Electrical Installation Works

• Install electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, panels, lighting fixtures, sockets, switches, and related equipment in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform installation, termination, and testing of power, control, and communication cables.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment at project sites.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

2. Maintenance and Repair

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace defective electrical components, including breakers, switches, relays, motors, and lighting fixtures.
• Maintain tools, testing instruments, and electrical equipment in good working condition.

3. Inspection and Testing

• Perform routine inspections to identify electrical defects, hazards, or non-conformities.
• Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, and functional tests on electrical installations.
• Verify that completed work meets quality and safety standards before energization.
• Report test results and deficiencies to the Site Supervisor or Project Engineer.

4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Strictly adhere to company HSE policies and site safety procedures.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance or repair work.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses to management.

5. Project Site Support

• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
• Assist in the mobilization, installation, relocation, and demobilization of temporary site electrical facilities.
• Support emergency electrical repairs and restoration activities as required by project operations.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and project coordination meetings when required.

6. Materials and Inventory Management

• Monitor and safeguard electrical materials, tools, and equipment issued for site activities.
• Report shortages, damages, or replacement requirements to supervisors.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical materials to prevent loss or deterioration.
• Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and instruments.

7. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and testing results.
• Report completed work, outstanding issues, and material requirements to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing daily work reports and progress updates when required.

8. General Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and punctuality in all work assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding company and project information.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management in support of project objectives.

Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month
