Position Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage and supervise electrical works related to pump stations, cable tray installations, control panels, and associated electrical systems. The candidate shall ensure compliance with project specifications, TAQA (formerly ADDC) regulations, and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of cable trays, conduits, trunking, and cable containment systems.
• Manage electrical works for water and irrigation pump stations.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and shop drawings.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with TAQA, ADM, and project specifications.
• Supervise cable pulling, termination, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of control panels, MCCs, VFDs, soft starters, and instrumentation systems.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and monitor material requirements.
• Attend consultant and client meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements on site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in electrical construction projects.
• Experience in water pump stations, irrigation systems, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with TAQA (ADDC), ADM, and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of cable tray installation and cable management systems.
• Experience with electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs, and pump control systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Ability to read and prepare electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in water and wastewater projects.
• Knowledge of SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
