Procurement Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in railway and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will oversee procurement activities ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards critical to large-scale construction and tunnel projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals.

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers ensuring quality materials and services for railway, tunnel, and station infrastructure projects.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to coordinate procurement schedules and budgets.

• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with contract terms.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards during procurement processes.

• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

• Continuously analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and emerging suppliers. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Proven experience in procurement within the railway, construction, or infrastructure sectors.

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

• Excellent knowledge of procurement software and tools.

• Ability to assess supplier capability and quality control standards.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with UAE market and regulatory framework is preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
