The Role
We are seeking a skilled Geological Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves applying geotechnical expertise to support the planning, design, and construction of railway, tunnel, and station infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of our large-scale infrastructure developments in the region.
Responsibilities:

Conduct geological and geotechnical site investigations to assess soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.

Analyze subsurface data and provide technical recommendations for foundation design, tunnel construction, and earthworks.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, designers, and construction managers to integrate geological data into project plans.

Monitor and evaluate ground conditions during construction phases to anticipate and mitigate risks such as landslides, ground settlement, or water ingress.

Prepare detailed geological reports, risk assessments, and documentation compliant with UAE regulations and international standards.

Advise on construction methods and materials based on geological findings to enhance safety and project efficiency.

Support environmental impact assessments related to geological factors.

Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in geological engineering relevant to infrastructure projects. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in geological engineering within railway, tunnel, and large infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical investigation techniques.

Proficiency in geological and geotechnical software tools such as GIS, AutoCAD, PLAXIS, or equivalent.

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in construction environments.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.

Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi and adapt to project site conditions and schedules.

Relevant professional certifications or licenses are advantageous.
