Job Description – Electrical Draftsman

Position: Electrical Draftsman Experience Required: 6–8 Years UAE Experience Industry: MEP / District Cooling / Industrial Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman with 6–8 years of UAE experience in MEP and industrial projects. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of electrical drafting, BIM modeling, and AutoCAD preparation for electrical systems. The applicant should hold valid BIM and AutoCAD certifications and be capable of preparing accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop detailed layouts for power, lighting, cable tray, earthing, and low current systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, civil, and architectural teams to avoid drawing clashes.
• Prepare BIM models and update drawings based on site conditions and consultant comments.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, ADDC/authority requirements, and international standards.
• Revise drawings according to engineer instructions and site modifications.
• Maintain proper drawing records and document control procedures.
• Support site engineers and project teams with technical drafting requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and assist in material coordination when required.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedule.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• BIM Certification and AutoCAD Certification are mandatory.
• 6–8 years of UAE experience as an Electrical Draftsman in MEP or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Experience in preparation of electrical layouts, single line diagrams, and coordination drawings.
• Familiarity with ADDC/authority standards and project documentation procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under project deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in district cooling plants, substations, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of clash detection and BIM coordination processes.
• Understanding of electrical design concepts and site execution requirements.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
