Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of the Department to join our team based in UAE, Abu Dhabi .

In this role, you will ensure technical integrity of the Electrical deliverables for one or more projects. You will ensure compliance with the work scope and with applicable international standards. You will bring to the team your technical and industry experience and practical engineering skills to consistently deliver quality and timely work to Technip Energies and its clients. You will be dedicated to one or several projects requiring higher technical levels and help oversee junior engineer's work.

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:

• Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions in coordination with other disciplines.
• Perform all associated Electrical calculations covering, equipment sizing, cable sizing, UPS sizing, including Power system study (ETAP) etc.
• Development of Electrical Specifications, Data sheets, Schedules, Load List I/O list, Layout Drawings, Electrical MTO to support Detailed Engineering
• Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow-up of the orders.
• Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by the suppliers.
• Contributes to optimization of material quantities by proposing value engineering solutions.
• Ensures timely reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
• Adheres to the committed man/hours and budget.
• Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project.
• Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior employees within the team.
• Masters / Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design in Oil & Gas Projects / Industry
• Well versed with ETAP Software
• Significant Experience in preparing Electrical Design Basis, evaluation and specification of Electrical Equipment and Automation Systems, Package Items and Electrical Bulk Items.
• Significant experience in various power system analysis study.
• A thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes and standards and a good understanding of onshore & offshore engineering practices applicable to electrical design for oil and gas industry/facilities.
• Experience in brown fields projects and preparation of adequacy report and modification scope of work of existing equipment.
