MEP Estimation Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Department: Tendering

Experience: 3-5 years in MEP estimation for UAE/GCC projects.

About the Role:-

We’re looking for a detail-oriented MEP Estimation Engineer to lead costing and BOQ preparation for MEP packages. You’ll work directly with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure accurate, competitive bids for HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV projects across commercial, residential, and infra projects.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Tender & BOQ Management:-

- Review IFC/Tender drawings, specs, and BoQ from consultants

- Prepare detailed MEP BOQs for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical, ELV systems

- Identify missing items, design gaps, and raise RFIs/TQs to consultants

2. Cost Estimation & Pricing:-

- Source and negotiate rates from MEP vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

- Prepare material take-offs, labor costing, and equipment pricing using local UAE rates

- Build up rates for unit prices, analyze historical data for benchmarking

3. Bid Preparation:-

- Compile technical and commercial proposals with cost breakdowns

- Prepare exclusions, clarifications, and assumptions for tender submission

- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Design teams to validate scope

REQUIREMENTS:-

• Bachelors in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Mechanical specialization preferred
• Strong reading of MEP drawings, specs, and SBDs
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and estimation software
• Strong analytical skills, negotiation with vendors, attention to detail, deadline-driven
