Job Description Monitor and inspect equipment parts, dive-deep for damage cause analysis and provide efficient technical maintenance and repair services to all Terminal/Port Assets and equipment.

Responsibilities Core Responsibilities:

  • Follow and promote Safety and Security policies in the port/terminal and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same.
  • Carry out tools monitoring and parts’ inspection.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and pinpoint equipment cause of failure and propose relevant course of action and plans using the relevant tools.
  • Ensure maximum operational availability of equipment, and ensure repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner with consideration given to quality of work and longevity of equipment.
  • Report emergency work and workmanship issues to the manager in charge.
  • Log details of all jobs carried out in the provided work orders, including the man hours, and provide full daily activity report.
  • Monitor having accurate and up-to-date information in the CMMS System.

Qualifications Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Secondary School or above.
  • Training in electronic fields and the use of equipment/parts/tools in Port or heavy equipment industry is highly required.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in English (Speaking/Reading).
  • Arabic is preferred and any additional languages would be deemed an advantage.

Years of Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role

Nature of Experience:

  • Should be conversant with maintenance software, MS Office
  • Have maintenance and repair experience in ports, mines, steel or heavy industry plants.
  • Usage of any CMMS
  • Use of high-tech diagnostic tools.
  • Conversant with PLCs and Drives
  • Should have a critical thinking skill, focus and attention to details to put pieces together.
