Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, from initial concept to final bid submission. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, labor costs, and project management principles. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, procurement teams, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other tender documents to understand the full scope of work.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all construction elements, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Obtain competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates, including direct costs (materials, labor, equipment) and indirect costs (overhead, profit, contingencies).
• Identify and evaluate risks associated with projects and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.
• Present detailed cost breakdowns and explanations to management and clients.
• Maintain an organized database of cost information, supplier contacts, and historical project data.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather essential information for accurate estimation.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize costs without compromising quality or project scope.
