As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our inspection team in Dubai.

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive electrical inspections of residential and commercial properties. The role involves identifying defects, verifying compliance with UAE regulations and international standards, testing electrical systems, and preparing professional snagging reports.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary inspection team to ensure every property meets the highest quality and safety standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed electrical inspections of apartments, villas, townhouses, and commercial buildings.
• Inspect electrical installations, distribution boards, lighting systems, switches, sockets, wiring, earthing, and protective devices.
• Identify electrical defects, workmanship issues, safety hazards, and non-compliance with applicable standards.
• Verify compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA requirements, and international standards such as IEC and BS.
• Review electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform functional testing of electrical systems and power distribution components.
• Prepare comprehensive snagging reports with photographs, technical observations, and recommended corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, developers, project managers, and clients regarding inspection findings.
• Support re-inspections after rectification works to verify defect closure.
• Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, professionalism, and client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, building services, construction, MEP, property inspection, or snagging.
• Strong understanding of:
• Electrical installations
• Power distribution systems
• Circuit protection devices
• Earthing systems
• Lighting systems
• Electrical safety
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Good knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, DEWA requirements, IEC standards, and BS standards.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent report-writing and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
• Experience in property snagging or building inspections will be a strong advantage.
