QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to oversee all interior fit-out and finishing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all architectural finishes, joinery, flooring, painting, and MEP integrations meet project specifications, approved mock-ups, and industry standards.Quality Assurance & Planning

• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) plans.
• Prepare and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and structural and architectural checklists.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and BOQs to ensure they align with the client’s requirements and fit-out standards.

2. Inspections & Material Control

• Inspect incoming materials (e.g., timber, marbles, tiles, sanitary ware) against approved Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and ensure proper storage.
• Conduct routine factory inspections during the joinery manufacturing stages and verify finished products before site dispatch.
• Carry out daily site inspections to verify workmanship and ensure works are executed in strict accordance with approved shop drawings and mock-ups.

3. Compliance & Non-Conformance Management

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR) to the consultant/client and coordinate site inspections.
• Identify deficiencies, deviations, and poor workmanship. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Site Observation Reports (SOR) for off-spec work.
• Oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure root causes are addressed and closed out efficiently.

4. Handover & Snagging

• Lead the pre-handover and de-snagging processes to identify and rectify minor defects prior to final client delivery.
• Compile final quality documentation, as-built drawing verifications, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for final handover.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience in QA/QC roles within the high-end interior fit-out sector.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of joinery, gypsum works, painting, flooring, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) fixtures.
• Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and regional building codes.
