Project Engineer - Dewatering

Job Title - PROJECT ENGINEER

Location - UAE

Educational Qualification - Graduate in Engineering

Experience - 2+ years’ experience in the supervision of geotechnical or dewatering activities

Key Requirements

• Systematic, well organised and can work independently with minimum supervision.
• Results-driven, resourceful, creative, resilient and with positive outlook
• Computer skills MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) essential
• Dewatering knowledge is preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide engineering supervision to the installation & operation process:

• Undertake review of tender documents (e.g. pumping tests, site investigations, specifications) to assist in dewatering system design.
• On contract award prepare method statements, risk assessments, programmes, schedules and progress reports.
• Assist in the specification and procurement of the equipment required to undertake the contract.
• Directly supervise site activities (well drilling, pipe laying, pump installation, electrical connection and dewatering system commissioning) ensuring works are carried out safely and according to specification.
• Ensure works are carried out to the contract programme.
• Be responsible for collecting, collating, and reporting relevant data (such as: ‘as built’ information, water levels, discharge flows, progress reports)
• Be thorough and rigorous in checking information and take appropriate action to rectify faults and be proactive in data management.
• Prepare monthly valuations and organise variation claim documents.
• Coordinate with Designs Team on design changes based on actual ground condition or client program.

Asset Protection

• Ensure all assets, stocks and materials are always in good working order
• Ensure maintenance regimes are followed, and records are kept up to date
• Ensure all assets are protected as practicable by site conditions and any damages reported immediately to the Operations/ Plant & Maintenance Manager

Health Safety & Environment

• Coordinate with Field H&S Officer over standards.
• Ensure all Company Health Safety & Environmental policies are implemented, always maintained and adhered to on site
• Ensure our sites are safe, e.g., corrected and sufficient hazard warning on electrical and mechanical equipment, lifting equipment used by crews is properly certified
