QA/QC Engineer (Electrical) – Interior Fit-Out

The QA/QC Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical works in interior fit-out projects are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards, and authority regulations. The role includes inspections, quality control, documentation, and coordination with project teams to ensure defect-free and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all electrical installation works including power, lighting, low current systems, containment, and earthing systems.
• Ensure all electrical works are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, DEWA regulations, and project standards.
• Conduct material inspections (cables, DBs, conduits, switches, lighting fixtures, etc.) before installation and ensure compliance with approved submittals.
• Perform site inspections and quality checks during installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Requests (ITR), MIR (Material Inspection Requests), NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure proper testing and commissioning (T&C) of electrical systems including continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and load testing.
• Verify compliance with local authority standards (DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense if applicable).
• Maintain quality records, checklists, and project handover documentation.
• Identify defects, report non-conformities, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
• Support project handover including snagging and de-snagging activities.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards on site.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in interior fit-out / MEP projects
• Knowledge of DEWA regulations and UAE standards
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and shop drawings
• Experience in QA/QC documentation (ITR, MIR, NCR)
• Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate with site teams and consultants

Preferred Experience

• Interior fit-out projects (offices, hotels, retail, villas)
• High-rise or commercial MEP works
• Electrical installation supervision and QA/QC inspection
