Estimation Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: 3–5 Years (UAE/GCC experience preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Estimation Engineer with experience in Cable Management Systems to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of cable trays, ladders, trunking, support systems, and related accessories, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and IFC/shop drawings.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for Cable Management System products.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and project documentation.
• Select suitable products based on project requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with the sales team, clients, consultants, and suppliers for technical clarifications.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals within specified timelines.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive costing.
• Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and costing templates.
• Support the sales team during technical discussions and pre-award meetings.
• Ensure quotations comply with project specifications, company standards, and client requirements.
• Assist in value engineering by proposing cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimation for Cable Management Systems or related MEP products.
• Strong knowledge of cable trays, cable ladders, trunking, strut channels, support systems, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Good understanding of materials such as GI, HDG, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and powder-coated products.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with estimation software is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight submission deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• UAE/GCC market experience.
• Knowledge of local and international standards applicable to Cable Management Systems.
• Experience handling EPC, MEP, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
