Team/Role Overview:
The Core Trade Network organisation was created and formalised as part of the Citi re-organisation and covers a range of Trade Services products, including Letters of Guarantee, Import/Export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections. The successful candidate will lead and manage the Middle East & Africa Network team, responsible for the delivery of product expertise in the region. This role reports into the Global Core Trade & Productivity Network Head. This role is also expected to work with other Core Trade Network cluster heads, Core Trade pillars and functional partners in order to ensure pipeline management and growth with sales, ensure quality of trade product delivery with Operations and continued high level of client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Management:
- Manage a team and collaborate with individuals within assigned countries, this includes direct responsibility for people management, budget oversight, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate across key internal functions such as risk, finance, decision management, marketing, operations, and other Core Trade pillars.
- Develop and execute functional strategies for the cluster as it relates to Core Trade, ensuring coordination and integration across various units, and provide critical input into strategic decisions.
- Set cluster strategy as part of the overall global strategy, driving revenues and growth for Core Trade portfolio.
- Provide leadership for Core Trade products and other relevant product lines within the cluster, promoting new and innovative offerings and corridors.
- Continuously seek and implement simplification, global standards, local configuration, and digitization initiatives within the network.
- Engage in active network management, including benchmarking and leveraging proprietary and third-party solutions.
Product Development & Market Growth:
- Accountable for cluster oversight of pipeline management and growth through collaboration with sales teams and Core Trade Segments team.
- Ensure quality of trade product delivery in coordination with Operations and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Promote new and innovative products and corridors, focusing on increasing market share and maintaining Citi's competitive position.
- Coordinate product lines through all stages of their life-cycle in collaboration with the broader Product Management team.
Stakeholder Management & Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi.
- Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client-centric approaches.
- Engage in internal and external negotiations, making decisions that have a critical impact on company revenues, capital, and business operations

- Appropriately assess risk in all business decisions, demonstrating keen consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
