Service Engineer – Heavy Vehicles

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer – Heavy Vehicles to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy vehicles, with strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicle reliability, minimizing downtime, and delivering high-quality technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in heavy vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Inspect, repair, and service diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules to maximize fleet availability.
• Lead complex repair activities and provide technical guidance to workshop technicians.
• Prepare detailed service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with spare parts and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and UAE safety regulations.
• Provide on-site technical support and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
• Monitor vehicle performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues, maintenance updates, and repair recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Service Engineer handling heavy vehicles, commercial vehicles, or construction equipment.
• UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience working with trucks, trailers, buses, earthmoving equipment, or other heavy-duty vehicles.
• Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools and maintenance management systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be an advantage.
