1. Job Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of all engineering activities across assigned construction projects, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and project schedules. This role provides technical leadership on–site, liaising between project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to drive project delivery to the required quality, programme, and safety standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all engineering activities across the project, ensuring all works are properly planned, resourced, and executed in accordance with the project programme, approved designs, and company standards.
- Review and interpret all drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring the site team has a clear and accurate understanding of design intent and construction requirements before and during execution.
- Ensure all works are executed in full accordance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards, proactively identifying and resolving any deviations or non–conformities before they impact project delivery.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring clear and timely communication of technical requirements, progress updates, and any issues requiring resolution across all project interfaces.
- Manage and track project progress against approved schedules and milestones, identifying delays or bottlenecks early and implementing corrective actions to maintain programme adherence and protect delivery commitments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, resolving engineering queries and issues in a timely and effective manner to ensure uninterrupted progress and consistency in the application of design and construction standards across all site activities.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, ensuring all submissions are technically compliant, accurately reviewed, and formally approved before works proceed on–site.

Strong engineering knowledge with the ability to read, interpret, and review complex drawings, specifications, and technical documents, and to provide accurate technical guidance to site teams across all construction disciplines

Proven ability to oversee and coordinate all engineering activities across a project, manage and track progress against schedules and milestones, and take decisive corrective action to maintain programme adherence and protect delivery commitments

Skilled in planning and coordinating complex construction activities across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, ensuring all engineering works are properly sequenced, resourced, and aligned with the overall project programme and delivery milestones
Quality Control & Compliance
Ensures all construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards; reviews and approves shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements; and proactively identifies and resolves non–conformities before they impact project quality or delivery
Communication & Team Collaboration
Communicates clearly and professionally with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring all technical requirements, progress updates, and engineering decisions are accurately conveyed and acted upon across all levels of the project team
