Job Summary

DNB Construction LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to manage project cost monitoring, budgeting, and financial control for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction cost management along with basic knowledge or working experience in Quantity Surveying (QS) to support project cost evaluation and quantity verification.

The role requires close coordination with project teams, procurement, accounts, and site engineers to ensure all project expenses are controlled effectively and projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs to ensure construction activities remain within approved budgets.
• Prepare and maintain project cost reports, budget forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
• Track all project-related expenses including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and operational expenses.
• Review project budgets and compare actual expenditure against planned budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for project cost tracking and financial monitoring.
• Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payment applications.
• Monitor material consumption and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and cost summaries for management review.
• Support procurement team in evaluating vendor quotations and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Track project cash flow and monitor financial commitments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in monitoring project variations, additional work orders, and cost impact analysis.
• Maintain proper cost records, documentation, approvals, and project financial reports.
• Identify budget overruns and recommend corrective actions to management.

Quantity Surveying (Basic Knowledge Required)

• Basic understanding of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and construction quantity measurement.
• Assist in verifying quantities executed on site against project scope.
• Support in checking subcontractor work quantities before payment processing.
• Review drawings and compare project quantities with actual site progress.
• Coordinate with project engineers for quantity verification when required.
• Understanding of variation orders and cost impact on project budgets will be an advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Cost Controller in the construction industry.
• UAE construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, project cost monitoring, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
• Basic knowledge or prior exposure to Quantity Surveying (QS) functions is preferred.
• Experience handling material cost control, procurement cost monitoring, subcontractor billing, and project expense tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) for reporting and cost analysis.
• Experience using **ERPNext, SAP, Tally, or other ERP/accounting systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project cost activities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building construction, warehouses, villas, commercial, or residential projects.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, BOQ structure, estimation process, and project cost planning.
• Knowledge of UAE construction market pricing and supplier management is an added advantage.

Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
