QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical (Data Centre / MEP)

Salary: AED 5,000 – AED 6,000 per month

S E S C is seeking a QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical to support the delivery of data centre and mission-critical projects across the UAE and GCC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing Mechanical QA/QC procedures, conducting inspections, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards, and supporting testing and commissioning activities.

This role is ideal for an engineer with UAE experience in Mechanical QA/QC, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and MEP systems who is looking to further develop within the data centre sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement project QA/QC procedures and quality plans for mechanical works.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical installations in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and QA/QC documentation.
• Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), checklists, and quality records.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, and applicable standards.
• Raise, monitor, and close NCRs, observations, corrective actions, and punch list items.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.
• Support pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation and project quality records.

Mechanical Systems Experience

Candidates should have experience with several of the following systems:

• HVAC Systems
• Chilled Water Systems
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
• CRAH/CRAC Units
• Ventilation & Ductwork
• Plumbing & Drainage Systems
• Domestic Water Systems
• Fire Fighting & Sprinkler Systems
• Pumps and Mechanical Plant Equipment
• Pressurisation Systems
• Data Centre Cooling Systems (preferred)

Requirements

• MOFA attested Bachelor's Degree (4 years) in Engineering.
• UAE Driving Licence.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE Mechanical QA/QC experience.
• Experience on Data Centre, MEP, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare or Mission Critical projects.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Mechanical Building Services.
• Experience preparing and reviewing QA/QC documentation including ITPs, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs and inspection reports.
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning and project handover documentation.
• Good understanding of ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE, BS, NFPA or equivalent international standards.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
