Job Summary

DNB Construction LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 2+ years of UAE experience in Main Contracting or Electromechanical (MEP) companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising mechanical works related to construction projects, ensuring proper execution of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, water supply systems, and other mechanical installations in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, site execution, authority regulations, coordination with consultants and subcontractors, and project documentation within the UAE construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all mechanical works at construction sites including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, water supply, and ventilation systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documents before execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers to ensure smooth execution of mechanical works.
• Ensure all mechanical installations are carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress of mechanical works to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Prepare material requests and coordinate procurement for required mechanical materials and equipment.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure work is completed according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to avoid site clashes and ensure smooth project coordination.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including inspection requests, work progress reports, material approvals, and technical submittals.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, consultant requirements, and relevant authority regulations.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
• Identify technical issues on site and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site safety regulations at all times.
• Attend coordination meetings with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in Main Contracting or Electromechanical (MEP) companies.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, firefighting systems, drainage systems, water supply, and ventilation systems.
• Experience in site supervision and execution of mechanical works for construction projects.
• Good understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, and local authority approvals.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience in coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures for mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation/reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in residential, commercial, warehouse, villa, or high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Knowledge of authority submission procedures and approval processes will be an advantage.
