Surveyor

Set up, adjust and operate the equipment used at surveying job sites. Measure, record and calculate data based on readings from those instruments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Receive surveying job from the Survey Engineer/ Projects Manager, understands fully the requirements and specifications of the particular project and accordingly plans the field work and arranges the required equipment.

· Collect required data to meet project specification.

· Conduct surveys on land sites and properties.

· Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy.

· Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features.

· Supervise and provide guidance to field staff.

· Build maps, sketches, and charts.

· Collaborate with engineers on several projects.

· Ensure digital files collected are in correct format and all data acquired are well stored and all sketches (if any) are correct and in order.

· Download data and hand over sketches and any other information to CAD Operator and coordinates with him/her for proper transfer of data and sketches to a high quality drawing.

· Keep surveying instruments in good, neat and tidy condition and ensures survey instruments are working properly.

· Report to Survey Engineer in cases of any damage or suspected malfunction of survey instruments.

· Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the management.

· Report on survey results and present findings to clients.

Education and Related Work Experience:

Diploma Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering. Secondary School is accepted, but Diploma is preferable.

2-4 years of experience in the field of Surveying
