ROLE PURPOSE

To lead the effective and efficient management of the Finance Function by providing strategic financial leadership, policies, controls, and governance frameworks that support the achievement of Group’s vision, mission, and business objectives. Also to serve as a strategic business partner to the Executive Board, directing the Group’s overall financial strategy, capital allocation, investment decisions, risk management, and financial performance across its diverse portfolio of businesses, including FMCG, agriculture, automotive, and industrial engineering sectors. The role ensures sustainable growth, profitability, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for shareholders and stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of financial stewardship and corporate governance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategy Development

Contribute to the development of group’s corporate strategy and to the derivation of its strategic plans while leading the development of the functional strategy as cascaded down from the company strategy and oversee its implementation to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing functional strategies across the group.

2. People Management

Lead the team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning in order to maximise team performance and achieve functional objectives.

3. Operational Management

Oversee and direct the Finance Function’s daily operations by providing leadership, financial expertise, and effective coordination across all business units to ensure alignment with group’s strategic objectives. Drive collaboration, optimize financial processes, and maintain high-performance standards to achieve established targets and support sustainable business growth.

Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, treasury management, and performance monitoring across the Group’s diverse business sectors. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while providing actionable insights to support operational efficiency, profitability, and informed decision-making at both business unit and Group levels.

4. Budget Management

Lead the development and consolidation of the functional budget and monitor the function’s financial performance versus the budget, to ensure the exercising of financial authority within established limits and the control of functional budget expenditure.

5. Strategic Finance Procedures

Authorise strategic financial initiatives for group and ensure adequate reporting tools are available to aid the decision-making process and review and validate the tools and procedures for the measurement of group's business and financial performance.

Lead the Finance &Accounting (F&A) MIS department in providing the C-suite with regular Corporate and Business Unit level performance reports on the status of group’s corporate strategy implementation and the KPIs of the business plan.

Lead the development of an effective and up-to-date financial management information system, approve enhancements, and ensure they are in place to support automation processes in an accurate and timely manner.

6. Treasury& Budget Management

Oversee the planning and control of group’s treasury and negotiation of arrangements with financial institutions so as to ensure adequate and timely liquidity and cash flow and availability of low-cost funding to meet the current and future financial requirements efficiently and effectively.

Define an optimum capital structure to minimize the cost of capital to the grouop and ensure availability of financing at the optimal debt and equity combinations.
