Jr. Account Manager

Primary Duties:

• Respond to customer inquiries and quotes in an effective, timely manner
• Work with Sales Management to learn more about product lines, sales strategy, and cultivating customer relationships
• Review customer specifications and select the material that complies with request, making note of exceptions
• Approve Mill Test Reports tied to orders and customer specifications
• Obtain quotes from vendors for services
• Negotiate best prices and deliveries from vendors
• Work to improve vendor relations and response times
• Plan staggered shipments
• Assist management and Quality control with both customer and material (Mill) Nonconformances (NCR’s)
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels
• Track and troubleshoot orders
• Add and review freight/rush charges
• Correct discrepancies between purchase orders and customers invoices
• Assist with credit card or COD payments (if applicable)
• Process and document retuned material as required
• Maintain the preservation of records (Sales, Orders, services, etc.)
• Communicate with operations daily regarding material and delivery requirements
• Assist all other departments as needed
• Cross train in other departments as needed

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or assisting sales
• Minimum 1 year of experience with reading and understanding Mill Test reports and Customer Specifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• High level communication skills
• High level computer and document processing skills
• Excellent critical thinking ability
• Able to plan, prioritize, and multi-task
