Procurement Officer

We are seeking a Procurement Officer with experience in civil construction projects to manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and knowledge of civil construction materials and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure civil construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and the warehouse to ensure timely material delivery.
• Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project budgets.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate material requirements.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delays and quality concerns.
• Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of procurement experience in the civil construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, vendors, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with infrastructure, building, or road construction projects.
• Knowledge of contract management and vendor evaluation.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred, if applying in the UAE).
